Joint Russian-Mongolian drills will be held in second half of 2019

The "Selenga" military drills have been held annually since 2008

MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. /TASS/. Joint Russian-Mongolian military drills "Selenga-2019" will be held in the second half of 2019, spokesman for Russia's Eastern Military District Alexander Gordeyev said on Thursday.

"The first conference on preparing for the joint Russian-Mongolian military drills 'Selenga-2019' jsut finished in the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator. At the conference, representatives of the Eastern Military District and Mongolian Armed Forces have agreed on the idea of the joint drills, the order of practical actions, as well as on organizing catering, services, and medical assistance for Russian units on the territory of Mongolia," Gordeyev said.

"Several units from the general army of the Eastern Military District stationed in the Buryatia Region will participate in the international drills. The 'Selenga' joint drills are planned to be held in the second half of 2019," he added.

The "Selenga" joint military drills have been held annually since 2008.
