MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. The Northern Fleet’s Project 949A nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) Orel will take part in the Navy Day parade in St. Petersbrg, a defense industry source told TASS.

"Orel will come from the Northern Fleet. Its crew is now undergoing necessary preparations for the journey to the Baltics," the source said.

TASS is yet to obtain official confirmation of those reports.

According to earlier reports, more than 40 warships, as well as 25 planes and helicopters are expected to take part in the parade.

The list includes the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser, the Admiral Gorshkov frigate, the Severomorsk anti-submarine destroyer, the Ivan Gren amphibious assault ship, the Soobrazitelny corvette, the Admiral Mararov frigate and other vessels.
