BEIJING, March 17 (Itar-Tass) – An upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Russia shows the high level of bilateral relations, Prime Minister of the Chinese State Council Li Keqiang said on Sunday.

“Soon Xi Jinping will visit Russia. This very fact shows how important the relations between our countries are,” Li Keqiang noted. “In the previous year I visited Russia and at the meetings with the Russian leadership we noted that our political relations are at a good level, we have no issues, which we could not discuss,” the prime minister said, noting that Russia and China should “take all the efforts to discuss practical cooperation.”

According to Li Keqiang, at his meetings with regional chief executives the countries voiced interest in “a higher level of Russian-Chinese practical cooperation and making the economies of the two countries mutually supplementary.”

Li Keqiang also recalled that now the bilateral trade reached 80 billion dollars. He stated with confidence that “thanks to our common efforts it is possible to double this figure without any problems.”
