MOSCOW, April 24 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has brought another humanitarian aid shipment to Serbia.
“An Ilyushin Il-76 transport jet landed at the Nis Airport at 8:46 p.m. Moscow time to bring almost 30 tonnes of humanitarian cargo – rescue equipment, power plants, clothes, footwear, medical instruments and drugs,” the ministry said.
That was the second humanitarian aid shipment from Russia to Serbia lately. An Emergency Situations Ministry convoy delivered 37.6 tonnes of humanitarian aid – boats, stoves, blankets, motor pumps and water-filled tube dams – to Nis on April 23.
The opening of a Russian-Serbian humanitarian center is due in Nis on April 25, the ministry reported. State Secretary – Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov will attend the opening ceremony and hand over the Russian humanitarian aid to the Serbian side.
