Several people were nabbed in the Pushkin Square for participation in an unauthorized action

MOSCOW, March 17 (Itar-Tass) — Several people were nabbed in the Pushkin Square for participation in an unauthorized action, Itar-Tass reports on Saturday.

Commandos detained three people in the opposition action “Freedom to political prisoners”. Two of them unfurled a poster in support of the punk group Pussy Riot. Still another man was nabbed for unfurling a poster with the inscription “Disgrace to NTV” (Eds: NTV is a TV station).

Sponsors of this unauthorized action claim that it will pass in the format of a meeting with State Duma member Gannady Gudkov, an agreement for which is not needed. Several dozens of people and very many reporters have gathered in the Pushkin Square now.

Rally participants aggressively accuse reporters, above all NTV reporters, of lies, shouting “Shame”.

Police officers with loudspeakers warn that the action was not agreed upon and request to disperse.

Besides, Itar-Tass reports, picket participants in support of ecologist Gazaryan were detained in the Revolution Square.
