Russia, Ukraine agree to continue gas talks

The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere

MOSCOW, January 17 (Itar-Tass) — The head of Russia’s gas giant Gazprom, Alexei Miller, and Ukraine’s Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, Yuri Boiko, have agreed to continue the gas talks, a source in the gas company reported on Tuesday.

“The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere. The parties agreed to continue consultations and negotiations on cooperation in the gas sector in compliance with the agreements reached by the two countries’ leaders at the end of 2011,” the source said.
