Zelensky's military plan to lead to his defeat, Hungary not involved in this — Orban
It is reported that the defeated now want to move on to a victory plan
BUDAPEST, October 18. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's so-called victory plan will lead to his defeat, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told Kossuth radio.
He pointed out that the Ukrainian leader had presented his military plan at the EU summit in Brussels. Most of the summit participants are still determined to continue the military conflict in Ukraine, he added. According to the prime minister, Hungary believes that the EU is already defeated together with Ukraine. "The defeated now want to move on to a victory plan. We have said that we are not involved in this. You can't win with this victory plan," Orban emphasized.
"You can only lose with it. It is not a plan for victory, but for defeat," the prime minister added. He confirmed that Hungary does not intend to take part in the implementation of such military plans and will not supply weapons to Ukraine.
According to Budapest, the Ukrainian conflict cannot be solved on the battlefield, only settled diplomatically. "Therefore, negotiations are necessary and we should try to end the war as soon as possible to return to peaceful life," Orban said.
Earlier, he called Zelensky's plan frightening, while his political adviser and namesake Balazs Orban warned that the plan was a shortcut to World War III.
According to Western media reports, the plan, outlined by Zelensky in the country's parliament and then at an EU summit in Brussels, includes, among other things, extending an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO, supplying it with long-range weapons to shell Russian territory, and providing it with certain types of other military systems to continue military operations.
