MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. /TASS/. Brazilian defender Khellven has confirmed his transfer from Athletico Paranaense FC to Russian Premier League (RPL) football club CSKA Moscow, Brazilian sports website Ge Globo reported on Tuesday.
"I was very happy here. It pulls at the heartstrings, but it's a dream, I will try to play as much as possible there and, when I return, I want to wear that uniform again," Ge Globo cited Khellven as saying about his transfer from Athletico Paranaense FC to CSKA Moscow FC.
Ge Globo also quoted Khellven as saying that it took him about a week to finalize a contract with the Russian club.
"It's been a week since I found out about the deal," he said. "I was focused on the Brazilian club. Now it's time to go to Russia, so I can get going."
The Brazilian defender also said he was planning to come back to Brazil before the 2024 Summer Olympic Games to play for the national team.
"My age still allows it. I want to have a great year for my club and then think about the national team," he said.
Khellven is 22 years old and had been with Athletico Paranaense FC since 2019. In his time with the club, he had seven goals and 22 assists in 164 appearances and won the 2021 Copa Sudamericana, which is the second-most prestigious championship in South American football after the Copa Libertadores.
