Kaluga Region resident detained by FSB confesses to plotting terrorist attack
Criminal charges have been filed against the suspect, including high treason, preparing to commit a terrorist act, participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, and training for terrorist activities
MOSCOW, August 29. /TASS/. A resident of the Kaluga Region, detained by the Federal Security Service (FSB) for plotting a terrorist attack, has made a confession, as follows from a video released by the FSB’s public relations center.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, after some time I began to help an organization in Ukraine by transferring financial resources. I received instructions to collect components for making an explosive device," he testified.
The bomb components were to be hidden in the Kaluga Region, after which the man was to leave Russia.
As reported earlier, the FSB detained a Kaluga Region resident who, on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence, was plotting a terrorist attack. Later he was going to leave for Ukraine and join Azov (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia). In the suspect's cache, FSB operatives found bomb components and in his communications device were instructions for making the bomb and messages he had exchanged with his Ukrainian handler.
