The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo a "public health emergency of international concern," this decision was made by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at the recommendation of the Emergency Committee, which reviewed the situation in DR Congo at a meeting in Geneva.
