MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. /TASS/. Experts have postponed the launch of a Proton-M carrier rocket which has to put commercial satellites into orbit due to additional testing, the Roscosmos press service told TASS on Tuesday.

"The launch of the Proton-M carrier rocket has been rescheduled due to the additional testing of the upper stage," Roscosmos noted.

The state corporation will announce the new date of the launch later.

The Proton-M with the Briz-M upper stage is to put Europe’s Eutelsat-5WB communication satellite and US’ MEV-1 craft into orbit. The launch of the carrier rocket was planned for September 30. On September 21, Roscosmos reported the transportation of the head end consisting of the Eutelsat-5WB and MEV-1 craft, the adapter system, the Briz-M upper stage and the nose cone to the assembling room.
