MOSCOW, February 5. /ITAR-TASS/. Officer of the patrol-guard service Vladimir Krokhin that had been severely wounded during the shooting incident at school in Moscow, has already come off the artificial lung as his condition noticeably improved. This was reported by spokesperson of Internal Affairs Directorate in Moscow’s North-Eastern administrative district Karina Sabitova.

“Vladimir Krokhin has been already removed from artificial lung, he can talk; relatives came to see him,” Sabitova said.

She noted that officers of the district police continue donating blood for their colleague.

"The patient was in extremely grave condition. It was a shock caused by loss of blood, a pain shock," director of the Sklifosovsky emergency medicine hospital Mogeli Khubita said at a staff meeting on Wednesday. "Today, he is breathing on his own; he has already talked with his wife over the telephone."

Monday, February 3, a teenager came to school #263 with two rifles. According to the case’s files, a guard tried to stop him, however, the teenager racked the slide, and the guard pushed the alarm button and accompanied the youngster to the room, where students of the 10th grade were. In the classroom, the teenager shot at geography teacher Andrei Kirillov (born in 1984). The teacher died at the spot. Over the guard’s call, police officers arrived to the school. However, the teenager opened fire at them, shot one of the police officers and wounded another.

Upon the incident, a criminal case on three articles of Russia’s Criminal Code has been filed: “hostage taking”, “murder”, “attempt on life of law enforcement officers”.

As the Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass earlier, the detained high-school student is subject to a physiological and psychiatric expert examination. He has been put into custody upon court ruling.
