Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that among the names of Bucha civilians, there were people who had never lived in the city

MOSCOW, September 17. /TASS/. Russia calls on international media to continue investigating what happened in Bucha, taking into account the new emerging data, but it has no illusions on the matter, given the UN’s bias, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"How it came to pass that among the civilians of Bucha, allegedly killed by Russian troops on the town streets, there were people who had never lived there, and what happened to them remains to be investigated -- and this is what we, the international media community, are calling for," she said at a press conference at TASS, dedicated to the presentation of a report by the International Public Tribunal on the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, which exposes the falsification of the events in the city of Bucha.

"We call on everyone to do this, but seeing that similar investigations have been blocked before at the UN, we harbor no illusions on this matter."

Zakharova said that the report contains examples and concrete evidence that a provocation took place in Bucha, and that the Kiev regime and its patrons continue to pass off militants, military personnel, or mobilized individuals as civilians, who "do not meet any of the criteria for being civilians. Moreover, many of them even died and were buried in other places. Everything is fabricated."

"The data presented in the report should help the international community understand what is actually happening. It’s impossible to live with your eyes closed and your ears plugged, while muttering endless lies about how the Russian army allegedly committed certain crimes in Bucha that are akin to genocide. Either it’s time to stop saying this, or to conduct some new investigations. You can’t remain blind and deaf indefinitely and keep repeating the lies."
