One person killed in UAV attack in Russia’s Saratov Region
According to the region’s governor Roman Busargin, one of the drones fell in the courtyard of a residential building
MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. One person was killed after a UAV crashed in the yard of a residential building in Russia’s Saratov Region. There are injured individuals, regional governor Roman Busargin reported via his Telegram channel.
"One of the UAVs fell in the yard of a residential building. Residents were evacuated, and a temporary accommodation point was organized at a nearby school. There are injured persons as a result of the attack. Preliminary reports indicate one fatality," the statement said.
Medical services are providing necessary assistance to the injured. One person was hospitalized.
"Windows were blown out in some apartments. The district administration was tasked with promptly addressing the replacement of windows. The necessary funds for restoration will be allocated. Additionally, all utility services have already arrived on site to repair damaged communications," Busargin added.
At the same time, some vehicles were damaged. Local authorities have developed mechanisms to provide financial assistance to the owners.
The UAV threat alert in Saratov Region has now been lifted.
