"To terminate the agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Japan on Cooperation to Assist the Destruction of Nuclear Weapons Reduced in the Russian Federation and the establishment of the Committee on Cooperation to this end, signed in Tokyo on October 13, 1993," reads the order signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The aim of the agreement was to assist in the safe elimination of nuclear weapons that Moscow was to reduce under bilateral or multilateral treaties, as well as its own unilateral decisions.
