Ukraine’s military lost 30% of Western-supplied military hardware — DPR head
Denis Pushilin said the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine continued, but at a lower rate compared with the time before the Ukrainian counteroffensive
MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military has lost about 30% of Western-supplied military hardware at the frontline, Denis Pushilin, the interim head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said on Rossiya-24 television on Tuesday.
"We saw how much ammunition and equipment Western countries sent to Ukraine ahead of the counteroffensive. Now we can give approximate figures: About 30% [of equipment] has been destroyed [by Russian forces]," the official said.
Pushilin said the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine continues, but at a lower rate compared with the time before the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
According to the official, in addition to equipment losses, Ukrainian forces are facing another challenge: a shortage of fighters. That’s prompting new waves of military mobilization, he said.
"The enemy still has reserves, despite the fact that they - demotivated, unprepared - are sent to the front line. But still, as long as they have enough quantity, they have the ability to at least make attacks," Pushilin said.
