The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN believes that the real attitude of Kyiv to the negotiations was demonstrated by the law on their ban, adopted in September 2022

UNITED NATIONS, February 23. /TASS/. "Peace plans" by Western countries and Ukraine come down to Russia’s capitulation, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said at a special session on Ukraine of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.

"Any ‘peace plan’ thrown into media space by Kiev or its Western handlers actually still comes down to Russia’s capitulation," the diplomat noted. "It has already become obvious to everyone a long time ago while the real attitude of the Kiev regime to negotiations is pointedly evidenced by a decree enacted last September by Ukrainian President [Vladimir Zelensky] banning any talks with the Russian leadership," the envoy pointed out.

According to Nebenzya, the Ukrainian crisis only became a catalyst for the surfacing of "caveman Russophobia" which "massively infected American and European elites." "In their aspiration to conquer Russia at any cost, not only are they ready to sacrifice Ukraine but also to fling the entire world into the vortex of war. Since the preservation of the hegemony of the US and their allies is at stake who do not want to let anyone else rule the planet because they consider solely their domain," he noted.
