MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Moscow is prepared to supply military products to Gabon for enhancing the African country's defense capabilities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with his Gabonese counterpart Pacome Moubele-Boubeya on Thursday.

"We are ready to provide military products for enhancing the defense capabilities of Gabon," he said. "We already have certain experience in this respect and we will be developing it by training personnel for Gabon's army and law enforcement agencies. There are agreements between the defense ministries. The legal framework for this has been established".

Gabon expects arms deliveries from Russia to continue, Gabonese Foreign Minister Pacome Moubelet-Boubeya said at a press conference following talks with his Russian counterpart.

Gabon’s top diplomat said that military and technical cooperation between the two countries would continue. "We have already received military products [from Russia] and new deliveries are expected in the future," he said.

Gabon also receives assistance from Russia in military personnel training, Moubelet-Boubeya pointed out. "The Russian Federation has provided additional places to the Gabonese Republic for training Gabonese military specialists who will strengthen our defense potential," he remarked.
