Price of gold futures on Comex hits fresh all-time high

The price of gold went up by 0.54% at $2,555 per troy ounce

MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. The price of gold futures contracts for December delivery hit a fresh all-time high during Thursday trading on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange) as it reached $2,572.3 per troy ounce (+1.18%), according to trading data.

As of 04:45 p.m. Moscow time (1:45 p.m. GMT) the gold price was up by 1.18% at $2,572.3 per troy ounce. As of August 20, 2024, the futures price reached a historical maximum of $2,550.

As of 04:35 a.m. Moscow time (1:35 p.m. GMT) the price of gold was up by 1.02% at $2,569.6 per troy ounce.

Meanwhile the price of futures contracts of Brent crude oil for November delivery is $71.5 (+1.1%) on London's ICE.
