Media: US approves lethal weapons sales to Ukraine

The Department of State earlier this month approved a commercial license for exports of Barrett M107A1 sniper rifles, munitions and spare parts for them, The Washington Post newspaper reported

WASHINGTON, December 21. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump’s administration has sanctioned lethal weapons supplies to Ukraine, The Washington Post said on Wednesday citing its sources in the US government.

According to the sources, the Department of State earlier this month approved a commercial license for exports of Barrett M107A1 sniper rifles, munitions and spare parts for them to a sum of 41.5 million US dollars.

Neither the White House nor the Department of State were available for comment.
