Ukraine forced to borrow internationally to spur domestic growth - PM

According to PM, the government’s draft state budget for 2018 is based on 3% of economic growth

KIEV, December 5. /TASS/. Ukraine will be making international borrowings for several more years to spur its national economic growth, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said in an interview aired by the ICTV television channel on Monday.

"We realize that we will be forced to make borrowings for several more years as we have to ensure economic growth simultaneously," he said, adding though that Kiev "needs to pay off debts instead of accumulating them."

According to PM, the government’s draft state budget for 2018 is based on 3% of economic growth, or $14.7 bln. Meanwhile, he said, this indicator might be higher if "correct decisions" are taken.
