South Korea warns North Korea may carry out another nuclear test soon

According to the intelligence, there is "high probability" that a new test will follow the launch of the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile

SEOUL, November 29. /TASS/. North Korea may carry out another nuclear test in the near future, officials of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service told lawmakers during a briefing on Wednesday.

According to intelligence estimates, there is "high probability" that a test of an "improved nuclear or thermonuclear warhead" will follow the launch of the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

According to the South Korean officials, the aim of Tuesday’s launch could be to demonstrate that North Korean missiles can hit mainland US and become a deterrent factor.

According to the North Korean government, the ICBM launched on Tuesday Moscow time (Wednesday local time) covered the distance of 950 kilometers and reached the maximum altitude of 4,475 kilometers.
