MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has arrived in Russia on an official visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Iranian leader’s plane landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport where Iran’s delegation led by Rouhani is met by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold talks with Rouhani on Monday. Putin’s negotiations with his Iranian counterpart are scheduled for Tuesday.
The upcoming meeting with Putin will be the ninth during Rouhani’s nearly four years in office. According to the Kremlin press service, during the talks the two presidents are to discuss the entire array of issues related to the Russian-Iranian cooperation and continue to exchange views on pressing global and regional issues. A number of bilateral documents will be signed after the talks.
According to Iranian mass media, the Iranian delegation will include Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Minister of Information and Communications Technology and co-Chair of the Russian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, Mahmoud Vaezi, First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri and Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor on international affairs to the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei.
Some Iranian media reports say the delegation will include Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh. A delegation of Iran’s business circles is taking part in the trip as well.
