GENEVA, March 1. /TASS/. The next round of the intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva is due to begin on March 20, a source familiar with preparations for the consultations informed TASS on Wednesday.
"(UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Syria Staffan) de Mistura has not yet announced the final date (to the participants), but the issue at hand is March 20," the source said.
The current round of the intra-Syrian negotiations will end on March 3. TASS earlier reported citing its own sources that the next round will be held in the second half of March. De Mistura intends to hold several rounds until an agreement is reached on three key areas - the formation of the government, the schedule for drafting the Constitution and the elections.
