MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The street in Ankara where the Russian Embassy is located will be renamed in honor of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov shot dead on Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said at the beginning of the meeting with Russia’s top diplomat Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday.
"We made a decision, I was informed by the Turkish prime minister about it, to eternalize Mr. Andrey Karlov’s memory in Ankara. I have in mind renaming the street where the Embassy of the Russian Federation is located after Andrei Karlov," the minister said.
