MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. The Russian pediatrician wounded during an attack on the mobile hospital in Aleppo, is in a stable condition, he has been taken to the Hmeymin airbase, the press service of Russia’s defense ministry said in a statement.
"Pediatrician Vadim Arsentyev, who suffered serious wounds in Aleppo, has been transferred to the Hmeymim airbase in a special medical module. There he underwent surgery and received high-quality medical treatment. His condition is believed to be stable," the statement reads.
According to the press service, a military transport aircraft equipped with a special medical module has departed from the Hmeimim airbase to deliver him to one of the central military hospitals of the defense ministry.
As reported earlier, on December 5, a Russian makeshift hospital established in Aleppo by the defense ministry, came under artillery fire from the militants while doctors were seeing local residents. The attack killed two Russian nurses, Nadezhda Durachenko and Galina Mikhailova, while pediatrician Vadim Arsentyev suffered serious wounds.
