MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Ukrainian MP Nadezhda Savchenko, who was earlier convicted and pardoned in Russia, has arrived in Moscow to attend a hearing in the Russian Supreme Court on the case of Ukrainian nationalists, a TASS correspondent has reported.

Savchenko refused to answer the questions of journalists, saying only that she would give comments after the court’s session ends. Dozens of reporters have arrived for the hearing, but the court continues working as normal. No additional security measures were taken.

The Supreme Court is considering on Wednesday a complaint against the verdict in the case of Ukrainians Nikolay Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, the members of the UNA-UNSO nationalist organization.

In late May, a court in Grozny sentenced the two members of the Ukrainian organization to long prison terms on charges of participation in combat actions on the territory of Chechnya in 1994 and 1995. Karpyuk was sentenced to 22.5 years and Klyh to 20 years in jail, respectively.

Savchenko, the former pilot, had been sentenced in Russia to 22 years in jail over the killing of two Russian journalists in eastern Ukraine. She spent nearly two years in Russian custody and was pardoned by the Russian president on May 25, 2016.
