MOSCOW, September 19. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry has increased the number of on-line video monitoring posts in Syria’s Aleppo province.
"The number of posts transmitting video images from Aleppo has been increased in order to expand the opportunities for monitoring progress in the implementation of the cessation of hostilities regimen in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a news release.
Extra video monitoring posts have been deployed in Jabal Zarzur, Al-Khalidiyah, and Hai Al-Ansar and in the area of Al-Nayrab airport.
"The situation in Aleppo is telecast live by video cameras on the ground and from a drone and can be seen on the Defense Ministry’s website. In the longer term the number of monitoring posts will be increased further," the press-service said.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that for monitoring the situation in Syria’s Aleppo the Defense Ministry had begun to use video cameras and drones transmitting the signal to the Defense Ministry’s website.
The ceasefire regimen in Syria has been effective since September 12.
