MOSCOW, September 7. /TASS/. The leader of an armed group and five militants tied to the murders of law enforcers have been killed in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) told TASS on Wednesday.
"The special forces neutralized three gunmen in Izberbash and three others in Makhachkala. The bandits have been preliminary identified, according to the republic’s NAC operative headquarters. Among them is Magomed Khalimbekov, the leader of a local armed group who had been on a federal wanted list since June 2015," the committee said.
The special operation was conducted in Izberbash and also the Kirovsky district of the capital Makhachkala on Wednesday morning.
