DONETSK, August 19. /TASS/. Three gas pipelines were damaged in the night shelling of Donetsk from positions of the Ukrainian military, press service of the gas supplying company, Donbassgas, said on Friday.
The company said fragments of shells had damaged a gas distributing pipeline in Kominternovo.
"During the night from August 18 to August 19, shell fragments damaged the gas pipelines in Karnavalnaya and Urozhainaya streets," the company said.
One of the damages in Donetsk caused a fire at the pipeline. The repairing brigades are fixing damages incurred by the shelling, the company’s press service said.
Earlier on Friday, the republic’s military authority told the Donetsk News Agency the pro-Kiev military used Grad multiple launch rocket system to shell Novaya Maryevka. Under fire were also Belaya Kamenka, Leninskoye, Sakhanka and Kominternovo, Spartak, Styla, Petrovskoye, Yelenovka, Trudovskiye, Alexandrovka, Zaitsevo and Yasinovataya.
