MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. A source in the DPR law enforcement agencies told Donetsk News Agency on Friday that government forces had shelled with mortars last night the cities and villages in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic located along the contact line.
"The Ukrainian side was shelling Sakhanka, Kominternovo, Leninskoye, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya checkpoint , Mineralnoye, Staromikhailovka and Dokuchaevsk between 20.00 and 04.02 hours firing a total of 70 120-mm and 70 82-mm mortar shells," he said.
Overnight on June 9, the Ukrainian military carried out massive artillery and mortar attacks of Donetsk, Makeevka, Yasinovataya and Dokuchaevsk. A civilian was killed, 15 others wounded, 44 buildings, two coal mines and two enterprises were damaged.
Members of the Contact Group on the settlement in eastern Ukraine agreed in Minsk on April 29 a new "regime of silence" as of April 30. However, the parties to the conflict continue to accuse each other of violating the truce.
