Singapore PM arrives in Sochi to take part in Russia-ASEAN summit

SOCHI, May 19. /TASS/. Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong Has arrived in Russia's resort city of Sochi to take part in the Russia-ASEAN summit, which is being held here on May 19-20.

According to his Thursday's plans, the Singaporean premier is holding a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the meeting the two sides are expected to discuss possible resumption of trade and economic cooperation, which met some problems last year. So, Russian-Singaporean trade turnover amounted to $3 billion in 2015, thus more than halving versus 2014. In the meantime, the investment interaction is developing rather successfully. Total amount of Singapore's investments in Russia are about $1 billion, while Russia’s investments - $2.5 billion.
