CHISINAU, January 14. /TASS/. Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti has nominated the secretary general of the presidential administration, Ion Paduraru, to the post of the country’s Prime Minister.
By this nomination, Timofti turned down a proposal by the Democratic Party to give the prime-ministerial office to Vladimir Plohotniuc, who in his opinion does not meet the required criteria.
In line with national legislation Plahotniuc is now expected to submit the list of members and the programme of the new cabinet to parliament within the next fifteen days.
