BUENOS AIRES, November 23. /TASS/. Candidate from the opposition conservative party Republican Proposal Mauricio Macri is leading in the runoff presidential election in Argentina.

According to data from the country’s election authorities, with 91.5% of ballots counted, 52.11% of voters cast their ballots for Macri and 47.89% for ruling alliance Front for Victory candidate Daniel Scioli.

Voter turnout in Sunday’s elections exceeded 80%.

Scioli has already admitted defeat and congratulated Macri on the victory.
