We should settle disputes on the basis of dialogue and consultations. We need to develop ties at the international and regional levels, to develop ties on the basis of partnership." He noted in particular that it was necessary to abandon "the Cold War mentality."

China will contribute 8,000 military for peacekeeping missions of the United Nations.
