UNITED NATIONS, September 2 /TASS/. The United Nations Security Council on Wednesday decided to lift some sanctions imposed on Liberia, leaving the arms embargo in force.

Twenty-one individuals and 20 legal entities will be excluded from the UN sanctions list under a resolution, which the UN Security Council adopted at its first September meeting held under the Russian chairmanship.

They include Russian entrepreneur Viktor Bout who is serving a prison term in the United States and his partner Richard Chichakli.
