Ukraine denounces agreement with Russia on classified data protection

KIEV, May 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday denounced an agreement with Russia on the mutual protection of classified information.

A total of 261 lawmakers voted for the draft law submitted by the Radical Party.

"The purpose of the law is to protect national interests, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," the document says.

The agreement between the Russian and Ukrainian governments was signed in 2000 and came into force in 2002.
