VILNIUS, May 11. /TASS/. Combat ships of nine countries are participating in NATO's Baltic Fortress-2015 naval exercises in Lithuania's territorial waters. The drills started on Monday and according to the country's defense ministry will last through May 14.
The exercise aims at training interaction between NATO countries and rapid reaction forces in conducting international operations.
The drill involves 20 combat ships from Belgium, UK, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Estonia, a Lithuanian-German diver team and two aircraft of the Lithuanian Air Force.
