Ukraine’s Donetsk Republic accuses Kiev forces of 70 truce breaches over 24 hours

Meanwhile, the headquarters of Kiev’s military operation in east Ukraine said the Ukrainian troops’ positions had been shelled 45 times from 18 hours to midnight

MOSCOW, May 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military breached the ceasefire regime 70 times over the past twenty-four hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"Overall, 70 breaches were registered, including 15 instances when the enemy used artillery fire," the Donetsk News Agency quoted the DPR Defense Ministry as saying.

The pro-Kiev forces shelled the populated areas of Spartak, Novaya Maryevka, Krasnoarmeiskoye, Zhabunki, Dokuchayevsk, Sakhanka and Shirokino, the ministry said.

The Ukrainian military also shelled the Kiyevsky district of Donetsk, the Donetsk airport, the settlement of Oktyabrsky and the Oktyabrskaya coalmine, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, the headquarters of Kiev’s military operation in east Ukraine said the Ukrainian troops’ positions had been shelled 45 times from 18 hours to midnight.

The ceasefire between the Ukrainian conflicting sides started from midnight on February 15. The ceasefire regime is stipulated in a package of measures for the implementation of the accords signed in Minsk on February 12.
