Ukraine plans to accumulate nearly 19 bln cubic meters of natural gas in storages

An option is considered to involve international gas traders capable of "financing the gas injection" in injection of required natural gas volumes, Ukraine’s minister of energy and coal industry said

KIEV, April 28. /TASS/. Ukraine plans to inject around 19 bln cubic meters of natural gas into its underground gas storages (UGS) for the new heating season, Ukraine’s minister of energy and coal industry Vladimir Demchishin said on Tuesday.

Ukraine injected over 600 mln cubic meters of natural gas into the UGS in the last two weeks, the minister said.

An option is considered to involve international gas traders capable of "financing the gas injection" in injection of required natural gas volumes, Demchishin added.

"We see the idea of attracting traders may be implemented," the minister said.
