Kiev’s military breach truce 20 times in past 24 hours - Donetsk Republic

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army has breached the ceasefire regime 20 times in the past twenty-four hours in east Ukraine, wounding a self-defense fighter, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on Sunday.

"Six instances of shelling were registered in the airport, two in Gorlovka, nine in the settlement of Spartak and three in Shirokino. The fire was mostly delivered from mortars. The Ukrainian side also used air defense weapons, antitank guided missiles, armored personnel carriers and small arms," the DPR Defense Ministry’s spokesman said.

The Ukrainian army’s fire also wounded a self-defense fighter near the coalmine 6-7 in Gorlovka. Information on victims among civilians is not yet available," the Defense Ministry said, adding the Spartak neighborhood and the village of Shirokino remained the most volatile areas.

The headquarters of Kiev’s military operation in east Ukraine also reported about violations of the ceasefire regime in the last twenty-four hours but said no shelling was registered in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions known as Donbass after the midnight.

The ceasefire between the Ukrainian conflicting sides started from midnight on February 15. The ceasefire regime is stipulated in a package of measures for the implementation of the accords signed in Minsk on February 12.
