LUHANSK, September 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian military are organizing fortifications around the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, the republic’s leader Igor Plotnitsky told reporters on Monday.

“We know that the Ukrainian military are organizing fortifications around our region ,” the republic’s leader said. “We are ready for it, and we do not surrender."

He also said the third round of Minsk talks was tough, as there were many disputable issues.

“We have signed a political part of the peace settlement, achieved agreement on a 30-kilometre line clear of all big armaments," Plotnisky told reporters.

He also said that the parties at the talks agreed that terrotories held by Luhansk People's Republic would remain under its control.

Last week, ex-chief of Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service Nikolai Malomuzh told Ukrainian media that border guards have started building ‘a safety belt’ around the districts under militia control.

He sais the belt invisages technical electronic control with mobile control stations along the whole perimeter of the divide line, a permanent control line and a line of trenches, watch towers and other reinforcements.
