Ukraine media reports about ‘seizure’ of Russian airborne combat vehicle false

MOSCOW, August 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's Defense Ministry has denied Ukrainian media reports about the alleged seizure of an airborne combat vehicle which purportedly belonged to a Russian airborne formation, the Defense Ministry’s spokesman said on Thursday.

“Such ‘sensations’ apparently indicate serious problems which Ukrainian troops have in promoting the so-called ‘peace plan’ in south-east Ukraine according to the well-known formula saying that ‘no stone will be left unturned in the fight for peace’,” he said.

“This is quite probable that captured in 'fierce fighting', an assault rifle Kalashnikov or a grenade F-1 with detailed private diaries allegedly of Russian soldiers will be the next ‘indisputable fact’,” Konashenkov added.
