MOSCOW, August 15, /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso may meet in person but the date and place of the meeting would have to be agreed via diplomatic channels, the presidential press service said on Thursday.
In a telephone conversation, Putin and Barroso discussed “pressing issues of relations between Russia and the European Union, including in light of the consequences of Kiev’s association agreement with the European Union”, it said.
“Putin and Barroso agreed to continue contacts and possibly meet in person,” the press service said.
