KIEV, March 14. /ITAR-TASS/. The second floor of the Besarabsky Market in central Kiev partially burned up overnight. Nobody was hurt, a Kiev police source told Itar-Tass on Friday.

The supposed cause of the fire was a short circuit, and the arson version is also under consideration.

The Besarabsky Market located at the end of Khreshchatyk Street was built in 1910-12 according to architect Genrikh Gai's project with money left by Kiev sugar producer Lazar Brodsky.
