Ukraine’s ruling party permits lawmakers to vote independently at extraordinary session

KIEV, January 28. /ITAR-TASS/. The leadership of the Party of Regions faction decided to cancel consolidated voting on decisions that will be taken at an extraordinary session of Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, Party of Regions deputy Vladimir Oleinik told reporters on the eve of the extraordinary parliamentary session.

“The faction decided that each deputy will decide himself or herself how he or she will vote,” he said.

Oleinik did not rule out that the laws endorsed on January 16 would be cancelled at the Verkhovna Rada session.
