GENEVA, January 25, /ITAR-TASS/. The Syrian government delegation has confirmed direct talks with representatives of the opposition will be held in Geneva.

"I confirm such talks will be held. They will start at about 10:00 local time, Syrian First Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told Itar-Tass.
