MOSCOW, January 19, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed preparations for the international Geneva-2 conference for the Syrian settlement by telephone.

The conference is opening on January 22.

The conversation took place at the U.S. side’s request.
