TEHRAN, January 13, 4:06 /ITAR-TASS/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, will arrive in Syria on January 14, the Iranian news agency ISNA reported.
According to media reports, Iran's Foreign Minister will meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday.
The visit will be made within the scope of Zarif's regional tour, that of Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria.
During his tour the Iranian Minister intends to hold talks with the top officials of these states on matters concerning their bilateral relations with Tehran and discuss regional problems, the developments in Syria, in particular.
