MOSCOW, December 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian tourists do not cancel their New Year travels to Ukraine over ongoing acts of protest in Kiev, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia said on Tuesday.
“We receive neither cancellation of tours nor requests from tour operators about the situation in Kiev,” a representative of the Association said, adding that tourists expressed the hope that the situation would soon return back to normal. “Moreover, these circumstances produced no reaction, as tourists continue to book their New Year travel packages.”
At present, there are almost no organised tourists from Russia in Ukraine. “Peak sales of tours to Ukraine were registered during Russia’s school autumn holidays,” the representative said.
Travel agencies say tours to Kiev, Odessa and Lvov are on demand among Russian tourists.
